AVS Series Installation Manual: Installation, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting
Installation
To install the AVS series car alarm, you will need the following tools:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver
- Wire strippers
- Crimpers
Once you have the tools, follow these steps to install the alarm:
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
- Locate the wires for the door, trunk, and hood switches.
- Connect the brown wire from the alarm to the door switch wire.
- Connect the green wire from the alarm to the trunk switch wire.
- Connect the yellow wire from the alarm to the hood switch wire.
- Connect the black wire from the alarm to the chassis of the vehicle.
- Connect the red wire from the alarm to the positive terminal of the battery.
- Connect the blue wire from the alarm to the starter wire.
- Connect the orange wire from the alarm to the siren.
- Connect the white wire from the alarm to the LED.
- Connect the gray wire from the alarm to the valet switch.
- Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Maintenance
The AVS series car alarm requires minimal maintenance. However, you should check the following items on a regular basis:
- The battery
- The wires
- The siren
- The LED
- The valet switch

- The alarm is not arming:
- Check that the battery is connected and charged.
