Fraser-Pryce Blazes to World's Fastest 100m in Almost 33 Years
Sublime Performance in Monaco
Jamaican track legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has scorched the Monaco Diamond League with an awe-inspiring performance, clocking the fastest women's 100m time in nearly three and a half decades. Her blistering run of 10.62 seconds on Saturday stands as a testament to her enduring brilliance and cements her status as one of the greatest sprinters of all time.
A Historic Margin
Fraser-Pryce's time not only broke her own personal best but also propelled her to third on the women's 100m all-time list. Only the late Florence Griffith Joyner (10.49s) and Elaine Thompson-Herah (10.54s) have run faster.
Her explosive start was particularly remarkable, as she covered the first 60 meters in an astounding 6.81 seconds - the fastest 60-meter split of all time.
